You’ve had your photo session, you’ve downloaded your digital photos and the files are sitting in your super cluttered downloads folder.

Now what?

Not only does the Pacific Northwest have a high count of rainy days, the Fall and Spring season are notoriously difficult to predict what time of day rain drops will fall, and if that rain will be a little sprinkle or a soaking downpour.

Besides the storage issue, when I think about how I want to look at my photographs it is always going to be a print in my hand, framed on the wall, or in an album that is grouped in my collection of photo albums.

The best way I capture couples in love, is by prompting them to just be themselves. I'll ask couples to hold hands, hug and kiss. How couples do this is up to them.

Sessions may take up to an hour long but I have been able to capture all the shots I aim for in as little as half an hour.

Something I love about portrait photography is that even though my workflow of each senior portrait is pretty much the same I capture each individual’s unique personality. Something that I am often told by parents is how amazing it was I was able to work with their shy senior and make them feel comfortable in front of the camera.

I was once requested to combine a session to capture the whole family together as well as photos for the youngest  to pose for his senior photos. It went great! 

The primary focus was for the senior so I began shooting senior portraits first and then used the last bit of time to group the family of four together.
