Yes. You Can Combine Your Family Photos and Senior Photos Into One Session!

Let's Get it Done

I was once requested to combine a session to capture the whole family together as well as photos for the youngest  to pose for his senior photos. It went great!

The primary focus was for the senior so I began shooting senior portraits first and then used the last bit of time to group the family of four together.

I was so happy this family requested this because so often families with older children miss out on posing for family photos.

So if you have a special request for your session please ask!

Something I also do that not everyone realizes is that I do take the time to pose students with their parent(s), if they attend the senior session, to get a few photos together. Why not right? It’s just a simple way I like to capture another special memory for the occasion. Again, it’s not often parents and kids get a nice photo together so I like making it happen.

If this particular idea to combine your photo session inspired you, here are some things to consider about combining your photo session for more than one celebration.

Combing a session can:

  • Save you time

  • Reduce cost

  • Be a faster paced experience

  • Less variety of poses for each subject

  • Increase difficulty selecting ten digitals included in the session; you may end up wanting to purchase the additional digital photos.

  • Be more fun! Even if everyone isn’t posing all together the whole time, it can be fun to have people you love facing each other while I am taking photos.
