Many high schools in the Bellingham area require seniors to submit senior photos by October or early November. To find out the specific deadline for your high school you’ll want to ask the yearbook teacher, or any administrative assistant in the front office.

Graduation for the class of 2023 is right around the corner but it’s not too late for high school senior portraits. Don’t forget that college grads deserve to be celebrated too! And a professional quality photo will help them shine as they begin their career.

Something I love about portrait photography is that even though my workflow of each senior portrait is pretty much the same I capture each individual’s unique personality. Something that I am often told by parents is how amazing it was I was able to work with their shy senior and make them feel comfortable in front of the camera.

I was once requested to combine a session to capture the whole family together as well as photos for the youngest  to pose for his senior photos. It went great! 

The primary focus was for the senior so I began shooting senior portraits first and then used the last bit of time to group the family of four together.
