I’m beyond excited to announce booking will be available soon for Eveluyn Mae Photography LLC’s first dedicated studio location at 215 W Holly #G-5 Bellingham, WA 98225.
The Journey Back to Creativity
Closing the last few months came at a culmination of a finalized divorce and starting a new life. Burnt out, I was low enough for long enough I really thought I was going to close EMP for good. Booking has been closed for the last several months and I wasn’t entirely sure I would open my calendar again.
I honestly, truly, needed the break. Putting down my camera was one less responsibility on my plate—which, as much fun as it is, my photography work was still work on top of my regular 9 to 5. In completely stopping, I shed some old, self-imposed mental barriers, which has liberated me back to a creative-first mindset.
A Dedicated Space for Art
In re-evaluating and recalibrating what would come next, my one step backward has turned into one leap forward. I couldn’t have made this decision without the enthusiastic encouragement of my friends. I love you all!
As the day to day grows darker with freedom being threatened all around us I have given thought to how now certainly is not a good time to make this leap of faith. While probably one of the worst, least-ideal times to be moving my business forward with a studio I also feel like this act of hope is rebellious. Creative-first me says art is essential and if anything more valuable in these uncertain scary times.
I’ve labeled my work as All About You. And in the past, as Capturing the Moment’s You’ll Love Forever.
I think the present as always continues to be the best time to celebrate the gifts we have to enjoy, to celebrate the accomplishments we achieve, to cherish the people we love and without forgetting to love and celebrate ourselves too.
